SERVICES

Care

I offer in-home support for your pets in addition to walks and drop ins. I also have access to safe and reliable transportation because sometimes these pups need a ride somewhere.

Please have vaccination, local veterinarian info, and licensing info available if care is needed for longer than 8 hours.

Walks

Walking dogs is the highlight to my day. Any day. Literally. I'm happy to work with pups of all ages, breeds, and personalities! I’ll even take your high-energy runners for distance, on and off road. I truly love being outside.

Schedule A MEET & GREET

I like to dedicate time getting to know all the pups I care for. This provides a chance to meet everyone and go over expectations and questions. Plus, I just really wanna meet your dog :)

ABOUT ME

Chad Walter

As long as I can remember, dogs have been in my life. Griselda was a retired police dog my father adopted when I was 2—some of my first memories are of watching them play soccer. Gina was a Schnauzer mix, Sky was 100% purebred American Rescue, Morgan was a Scotty, Simon was a retired Greyhound, Vinny was a giant Mastiff and Boxer, and Bailey was a Basset Hound—all family members and huge parts of my life.

At some point in my childhood I recognized a connection with them that’s only strengthened over time. I know that some pups have been through a lot, and haven’t been treated the way they deserve. I’m interested in meeting them where they are now, with the needs they have currently. I’m here for them, and ultimately I’m at their service because of the responsibility mankind has in caring for them. We created them. We owe it to them to love and care for them the best we can.

I’m an Iraq War veteran, and little has helped me to recover quite like the time I spend working with dogs. The connection I have with them requires presence, asks for patience, and invokes empathy.

My initial training with dogs began at Oregon Humane Society in November, 2013. Tanya Roberts really laid the groundwork for successful dog walking for me at OHS.

I also recently volunteered at Family Dogs New Life Shelter in Milwaukie, OR. I adopted Bailey there, and in working through the grieving process in her passing, I began walking dogs as a volunteer. That was in November, 2016 and I was a regular volunteer until March of 2021. Íve adopted 2 more pups there since! Even if you don’t require my services, please check them out and drop them a donation if you can spare a couple bucks.
